"Mr. Collins, your father asked you to send Miss. Cook to the manor."
Before Brian could say anything, the butlers voice came clearly.
Brian pinched the bridge of his nose and said, "Please give the phone to my grandfather."
The housekeeper respectfully handed the phone to Brians grandfather who picked up the phone calmly.
"Grandpa, we just invited her for wood carving, and there is no need to invite her to our house."
The manor of the Collins family was inaccessible to those dignitaries. Why did Grandfather invite a sculptor over? Brian was confused.
"Do you know why I invited Erin over? I need her to carve a piece of thousand-year-old rosewood! Do you know its value?" his grandfathers voice was like a drum, which showed he was in good health condition.
Brian moved his phone a little farther away from his ear, and his grandfathers voice continued to come, "Such precious rosewood would never be carved out of the house! What if it is lost? I could never find a great piece of rosewood ever!"
Brian had nothing to say.
His grandfather brought him up, and whatever his grandfather said, he would listen to him.
"Okay, Ill go to pick her up. But if she wants to play any tricks, I will never allow her to come to our house," there was a hint of fierceness in Brians voice.
Having seen too many women who tried to flirt with him, Brian already found it annoying.
He dialed the phone number sent by the housekeeper, and after a moment, she picked up the phone. "Hello?" Her voice was soft, like a gentle spring breeze, which immediately calmed Brian.
"I am the employer who commissioned you to carve rosewood. Where are you now?" Brian said.
Hearing the phone ringing, Erin, who was reading the contract, smiled apologetically at the two men in front of her, handed it to Roy, and then picked up the phone.
Erin looked at the man in front of her with a surprised face, and hurriedly took a few steps back.
The two men looked at each other, their faces full of confusion.
"Im at the Hirin Hospital... Okay, Ill wait for you in the lobby." After hanging up the phone, Erin took the contract from her son, hesitating for a moment.
Roy already heard the conversation between Brian and his mother so he looked up at the two men in front of him and said, "Why dont we go to the lobby and wait?"
Erin led her kids into the hotel lobby.
Elsa was wearing a fluffy dress like a little princess, and her skin was fair and tender.
On the other side, Roy, although he was just wearing a simple shirt and strappy jeans, looked cool.
"Wow, they are so cute."
"I would like to have such cute babies."
Guests coming and going into the hotel were guessing which family Elsa and Roy were from.
"They must be from a wealthy family. Take a look at their mother! She is so gorgeous!"
"It is the first time Ive seen someone wear a simple black dress so elegantly."
Erin didnt pay attention to the discussion of people around her, but found a seat where she could see the gate of the hospital.
The two men sat down with strange expressions.
When Brian arrived at the hotel lobby and saw the woman sitting there, quiet and elegant.
He strode over, and when he got closer, he found two kids sitting next to her, who just hit him at the elevator entrance.
"Mr. Collins," the two men on the sofa immediately got up when they saw Brian coming over.
Erin looked at the man standing in front of her, and then at the man who just got up. She suddenly realized and said with an apologetic face, "Sorry, I thought they..."
Brian now found that the sculptor that his grandfather wanted to invite was the woman he had just seen in front of the hotel.
Brian took a softer attitude and said, "Are you Miss. Cook?"
"She looks very young," Brians eyes were on Erin.
"You are here, not for a blind date." Elsa stared closely at Brian and protected her mother.
Brian ignored her and said straight to Erin, "Miss. Cook, my grandfather wants you to live in my manor during the carving period." Then he stared at Erins face, observing her expression quietly.
"Why?" Erin blurted out subconsciously, looking stunned.
"We cant trust you to carve the rosewood without protection, after all, it is very precious."
Erin hesitated.
Living in his manor meant that her two kids would not play freely. But what he said made sense. That piece of rosewood was really precious.
"I...need to think about it," Erin hesitated.
Brian didnt say anything. Whether she went to his manor or not didnt matter to him.
He just stopped by to help Grandpa pick her up.
"Mr. Collins, I need to pack my things. Can you wait for us for a while?" Roy asked suddenly.
Erin and Elsa looked at Roy with a look of surprise.
Because Roy rarely takes the initiative to talk with someone he was not familiar with, but now he even promised to go to live in a strangers place.
"Roy?" Erin said in surprise.
"Mom, lets go pack," Roy put down the contract and took his mother and sister upstairs.
"Roy, tell Mom why did you say yes?" Knowing that Roy wouldnt decide to do something for no reason, Erin asked him in the elevator.
"Mom, you need a chance to show yourself and prove yourself," Roy put his hands in his pockets, leaned against the wall, and returned to his cool look.
Entering the room, while Erin went to pack her luggage, Elsa quietly asked Roy, "Tell me, why are we going to that mans house?"
Roy glanced at the room and then said, "I need to confirm something. I find that man familiar."
